Hyundai Nepal plans to introduce the Creta EV to the local market in February 2025, following its initial launch in India.

The Creta EV will retain several signature design elements from the internal combustion engine (ICE) variant while featuring EV-specific updates. These include a closed front grille, redesigned front and rear bumpers, aerodynamic alloy wheels, and a front-mounted charging port, akin to the Kona Electric.

The interior will feature a layout similar to the ICE model, incorporating twin 10.25-inch displays for the infotainment system and driver’s console, a newly designed three-spoke steering wheel, and added conveniences like a 360-degree camera and ventilated seats.

While Hyundai has not officially revealed the technical specifications, the Creta EV is expected to feature a 50kWh LFP battery, offering a real-world range of 450–500 km on a full charge. Fast-charging capabilities will also be included.

On the safety front, the Creta EV is anticipated to come equipped with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), six airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system, hill-start assist, electronic stability control, and front parking sensors, among other features.

The Creta EV is expected to be priced between Rs 55 lakh and 65 lakh, making it a competitive offering in the electric SUV segment. It will go head-to-head with the MG ZS EV, the Tata Curvv EV, and the Maruti eVitara, further intensifying the competition in Nepal's growing EV market.
